OxyGeneo 3-in-1 Super Facial

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone has been enjoying beautiful autumn – the leaves, pumpkin spiced lattes, cozy sweaters! With fall also comes a change in weather, especially here in Vancouver, BC, which is why it is important to keep in mind that your skin will need some TLC.

I recently visited Blu Harbour Wellness Clinic + Spa to experience a relatively NEW Facial Treatment – OxyGeneo, the 3-in-1 Super Facial! I absolutely love discovering new skincare technology, so I knew I was in for a treat after I did some research on what this technology offers. Just an FYI – this treatment is safe for ANY skin type!

What is OxyGeneo?

Essentially, this is an anti-aging treatment that:

  1. Exfoliates the upper skin layers.
  2. Infuses using either the NeoBright Formula (Azelaic Acid – Even Pigmentation) or NeoRevive Formula (Hylauronic Acide – Wrinkle Reduction).
  3. Oxygenates with C02 bubbles!

What is the Procedure?

My esthetician, Nathalie, brought me into a cozy room and we began discussing the current state of my skin (dehydrated, congested, and rosacea). We chatted about the two serum options that are used in the infusing stage (NeoBright Formula & NeoRevive Formula). We decided that the best serum for me personally was the NeoRevive Formula as it contained ingredients such as: ribose, punica granatum seed oil, rosa canina fruit oil, palmitoyl tripeptide-5/glycerine, ascorbyl palmitate, hyaluronic acid, and retinol – all anti-aging & antioxidant elements!

Nathalie then began the treatment by cleansing my skin with the Osmosis Deep Clean Cleanser and followed with the NeoRevive Formula serum in conjunction with the OxyGeneo machine & Capsugen capsule (explained next). This first part of the treatment (deep exfoliation) tingled a lot and was a bit abrasive as the capsule, a pad comprised of citric acid (vitamin C) and baking soda, buffed away dead skin cells and pressed the serum into my skin. If you are into those masks that bubble-up on your skin, you will love this! The process took about 8 minutes.

The second part of the treatment felt a lot more soothing and relaxing as the serum was re-applied and massaged into the dermal layers of my skin with a unique ultrasound device. The device allowed for better penetration/absorption of the active ingredients within the serum, which made the treatment more effective.

The Take Away

What I absolutely love about the OxyGeneo Treatment is how quick the entire process took (less than 30 minutes)! I also really appreciate that I was able to see results immediately – I noticed my skin was overall less congested, more smooth, and glowing from the serum. Not a lot of treatments can achieve immediate results these days, but this one honestly does. Also, since I have rosacea and sensitive skin, I was very worried that my skin would be red and irritated after the Treatment, but it was the total opposite of my concerns. I would highly recommend this treatment, especially if you feel your skin is looking dull and dehydrated.
