Hi everyone!
‘Tis the season to give – but wait, how do you give? Do you gift your love or do you gift material items? Why not do both! This holiday season, I want to chat about something that’s quite important, but not everyone recognizes it – shopping fair trade.
I was recently introduced to Ten Thousand Villages , a Canadian non-profit online marketplace that promotes fair trade by partnering with over 20,000 artisans from developing countries & selling beautifully hand-made one of a kind pieces that were produced under fair trade conditions.
What exactly is fair trade?
Fair trade consists of various elements such as fair pay, gender equality, opportunity, safe/healthy working conditions, and much more. If you are interested to know more about fair trade, click here.

Now that you know a bit more about fair trade, wouldn’t it be nice to give a gift with meaning? Each item that is available through Ten Thousand Villages is truly remarkable and has a distinctive story behind it. Each design is unique and is made from either recycled or natural materials.
Here are some of my faves from the Christmas selection:
♥ Glittering Abaca Angel Tree Topper

♥ A Starry Night in the Village travel Mug

♥ Single Snowflake Cushion Cover

♥ Holiday Coasters And Lac Box (6)

By making a purchase on Ten Thousand Villages, you help improve the lives of those individuals in developing communities who strive to build a living for themselves.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this post and I hope I have inspired you to give the gift of fair trade this holiday season!
♥ P.S. There will be a very special Ten Thousand Villages GIVEAWAY on my instagram in the next few weeks, so if you are interested in participating, follow me for a chance to win! 🙂
